Types of Wooden floors?

People often get confused on the difference types of different wooden floors so I am going to give a brief explanation about the different types of wooden floors:

Block flooring – These are made up of either parquet blocks, mosaic blocks, square basket blocks, and lots of other types they are all in a block format and comes in huge amounts of different species we offer lots of sanding for such as:

Block flooring is a stuck down floor and will be glued to the concrete or chip board or a suitable sub floor in which it will be firmly fixed to last for tens of years.

Engineered flooring – Engineered floors are not completely solid they are built up of a wear layer this is the only solid piece of the wood so the top wear layer will be the engineered wood species and can be a range of sizes, there will then be another layer underneath this and it will be a type of plywood.

This type of flooring will come in different size boards and they will click lock into the other boards to complete the floor leaving no gaps, more money you spend the better engineered board you will get with bigger wear layers.
